Bar A Farm

Welcome to Bar A Horse Farm!

We are located in central Texas, 45 minutes west of Houston. Our ranch borders Clear Creek, a year-round spring-fed creek, that runs north/south on our property. Mature trees, many several hundred years old, cover 50% of the acreage.

The focus of Bar A Farm is to produce contemporary Paints for the show ring. We breed horses with outstanding conformation, temperament and athletic ability. We recognize the need for color on our horses and have selected individuals possessing all of the necessary traits in order to pass it along to the Bar A Ranch-bred foals. Our goal is to offer the discriminating Paint buyer and breeder the opportunity to purchase, or breed to, a selected number of Paints that have the characteristics we value in our showstring.
Bar A Farm is a also designing a 31 acre boarding facility for horses that are retired or laid-up. In April of 2006 we purchased 31 acres of some the most beautiful property in Texas and are turning it into a haven for horses.

Our goal has been to create a facility that is beautiful, clean, and most of all conducive to the safety and enjoyment of our equine friends. At present, we have two pastures available for boarding.

Bar A Farm reserves 10 acres for hay production. We also sell a Rancherio Frio Blend of hay which is a combination of Cheyenne, Cheyenne II, Giant Bermuda and Mohawk Bermuda grasses.

Nutritional value of Ranchero Frio Bermuda Forage Grass:
